Time limit for unattended "turned on time"
How can i extend the time limit before MS 7 auto turns to "off" position and powers down the PC ? This occurs after about six hours of uninterrupted and unattended down loading time.

Hi,
Did you want to set the wait and kill time on Windows 7 wait for programs to save data and close down before shutting down?
You can follow these steps to modify the kill time:
1.
Click on
Start.
2.
Open
Run command and type regedit.
3.
In the regedit go at the following Location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
4.
In the right pane, right click on
WaitToKillServiceTimeout and click on Modify.
5.
Type in a number between 2000-20000 (2-20 seconds) and click on OK.
6.
Now
Close regedit.
7.
Restart your Pc.
Regards,

Can you please rephrase your question? Did you want to schedule you computer to shut down after the downloading completes in about 6 hours?
If yes, then create a shortcut pointing to C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -s -t 21600
and double-click it. This will turn off the computer in 6 hours (=21600 seconds). Please revert back here if I may have misunderstood your question. Hope it helps!
